Medication Packaging
Corum offers options in terms of how you would like your medications packaged! We offer standard amber vials or bubble packing (blister cards). Corum will default to bubble packing for all facility residents to comply with facility standards and requirements, but our retail and hospice patients have their choice for what works best for them! Bubble packing allows you to see just how many days of a medication you have left so that you can be sure to reorder when you run low. Let us know if you have a preference so we can note it on your profile to better serve you. If no preference is given, Corum will default to amber vials for our retail and hospice patients.
Topical Compounds
Corum is able to provide a variety of compounded topical preparations, such as creams/ointments/gels/rubs. Please inquire for more information regarding your specific needs and product availability.
IV Compounds
Corum remains compliant per industry standards with preparing sterile compounds, such as IVs. We complete semi-annual monitoring and sample testing in our preparation area as well as annual training for all employees involved in making sterile compounds. We offer premixed IVs as well as sterilely compounded antibiotics, antivirals, electrolytes, and irrigations.
Immunization Program
Corum’s immunization-certified pharmacists are dedicated to providing a variety of vaccines to residents and staff at the facilities we serve. We offer large immunization clinics for the influenza vaccine and COVID-19 vaccine, as well as other ongoing vaccination opportunities. Our team is knowledgeable about the most up-to-date vaccine recommendations from the CDC, and we provide exemplary patient-centered care when administering these immunizations.
Emergency Medications
Corum supplies emergency kits and medication starter doses to our skilled nursing facility (SNF) clients. These serve as a point of immediate access when our residents need medications ASAP. We offer two different medication/supply kits- one for starting IV therapy and one that contains a variety of injectable medications. We also offer a customized stock of “starter” doses of medications for when residents are started on new medications after hours. This facility supply contains antibiotics, nebulizers, inhalers, IV fluids, insulin, pain medications, and more. Emergency supply medications are checked by a pharmacy technician every month to make sure the contents are up-to-date.
